Los Angeles, CA - ASI/Silica Machinery is pleased to announce that we have added a new customer who is installing our OVD deposition, sintering, and rod draw equipment at one of their facilities within the European Union. They are considered to be the premier manufacturer of high and low power fiber laser delivery systems. This new customer also makes a wide range of specialty fiber devices.
Over the past few months, we have positioned our company to take advantage of the growth in the optical fiber business that is now in the early stages. Our company finances and products are stronger than ever. We have proven OVD soot technology and continue to have the best engineering support available in the world today. ASI/Silica Machinery stands ready to supply new and existing customers with the quality products and superior preform technology as we have been for the past decade.
During the past year, our customers have proven our dual spindle technology which makes two larger size preforms per machine, lowers consumption of raw materials, and doubles the output per machine. This technology is available as a field installable upgrade to our single spindle machines at a reasonable cost.
By using ASI/Silica Machinery’s highly productive OVD core and clad process for making singlemode optical preforms, our high volume customers have achieved the lowest cost in the world for making optical fiber. Our equipment and process are being used for producing singlemode optical fiber with specifications that are equal to the best available in the world!
